Ayya Vaikunder (c.1833 –c.1851) (Tamil: आयया वैगुंदर, Sanskrit: अयय्य वैगुधुंदर, Malayalam: അയ്യാ വൈകുണ്ഠർ) or Siva Narayana was an incarnation of the Oneness. He incarnated as the son of Narayana and Lakshmi Devi in the sea of Tiruchendur in Kollam year 1008, on the 20th day of the month of Masi. Taking the names of the Trinity and embodying all the divine powers, Narayana took his ninth birth on the coast of Tiruchendur before the Vaikunda incarnation. Noteworthy here. All these events are part of Narayana’s step-by-step plans to conquer Kaliya and complete Kaliyuga.

Earlier, when the end of Kali Yuga was approaching, Narayan had let Goddess Letsumi grow in the sea of Tiruchendur as a capricorn, containing all the female powers of the universe in order to give birth to Vaikundar. By the grace of Narayan, the one and only Vaikundar was born in the womb of Letsumi. Immediately after birth, his charter to destroy Kali and infect the Dharma Yuga was in the ocean by the name of ‘Vinjai’. Presented to Vaikundar by Narayana.

Although the claim that Narayanar himself is born as a Vaikuntar prevails in the literature, for the two purposes of ‘destruction’ and ‘Dharmayuga appearance’, Narana-Vaikuntar and Narayanar Vaikuntar act subtly as two different personalities, two poles in the same straight line in the web of time. Vaikunder stands as a stand-in. As the birth of Vaikundar is the benefit of the penances of 33 crore Devas and 44 crore Deva Rishis, the Trinity, and to save them from the dominion of Kali, he becomes the unified form of all the male/female deities of the universe and is the revered monotheist of all.

On the other hand, he belongs to recent generations and is therefore not only a mythological figure, but he is also well known in history. Most of his teachings and activities found in the Bible are also found in external contemporary historical references. Although his widespread spiritual personality and teachings are mostly found in the Bible, he also preached through oral language. Although activities such as formation and religious integration are against the teachings of Akilathirath, Akilathirath and some books found in the Arul book are the basis of the religious formation called Ayyavahi. The day when Ayya Vaikunda emerged from the ocean, Masi 20th day (March-3 or March-4) is celebrated as Vaikunda Avatara Day.

Previous incarnations

According to Akilathirat, the Lord who is full of unity appears as Shiva, Shakti, Nath, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheshvara, creates cosmic bodies like Adithan Vayu and creates 84 lakh species of living beings and runs this world. Whenever dharma declines and adharma prevails in this earthly world which he has created and operates, he appears as an avatara purusha to destroy adharma and establish dharma.

As soon as this world containing the universe appeared in the beginning, Adibraham named it as the age that lasted for this age, and the three murtis and all the gods gathered together for a discussion. Asuran tries to destroy Kailai too Narayana prayed to Shiva to destroy him and save the gods. Lord Shiva, who came to destroy the monster, said to Narayana that he should “cut Koroni into six pieces and destroy him, and in doing so, each piece of him would be born as an asura on the earth, and water should incarnate as Uttama to destroy the monsters that are born.” Narayana agrees and kills Kuroni by cutting him into six pieces. And so ends that long long age. Accordingly, Narayana, who incarnated through the ages to protect dharma, appeared in Chatura and Nediya ages and destroyed the demons like Gundomasali, Thillai Mallalan and Mallosi Vahan who appeared from Kuroni’s piece. Then in the Greta Yuga he incarnated as Lord Muruga, Narasimha and in the Treta Yuga as Sri Ram and destroyed the demons of that age such as Singamuka Suran, Surapatman, Iraniya and Ravana.

Duryodhana incarnated as Srikrishna in Dvaparayuga and gave wisdom to Duryodhana, when Suranavan refused to listen, Duryodhana tortured himself by being a supporter of the Panchapandas. He also made the Pandavas to rule over Kurunadu and established dharma.

Ayya Narayana, intending to complete his incarnation of Krishna and go to Vaikundam on the day when the Pandavas will bless him, went to Kanakam, climbed a mountain, was shot by a Vedan arrow, received favors from the Panchavas, threw off the false disguise he was showing, saw the Ganges on his way to Kailayangiri and tested the chastity of the maidens bathing in the Ganges. Squat seven After ejaculating in the lotus of the heart, he lay down as a log and surrounded Enthilama and raised a tumult like a ring and steps.

In Sriranga Manatile Sriranga Natharundhan Barengu Meikkap Pallikon Dirk, Kaliyuga is born to incarnate the last piece of Easura Kuroni, the sixth piece of Thunmadatha as Kalyan, by the words of the Devas. Born as Duryodhana in the previous yuga, Kuroniyana is born as Kaliya in this yuga. As Kalianavan asked, he removed a bone from one of his ribs and made her Satchuvarun and created her with the power of Neesanbalam. When Neesak Kaliyanan was receiving the boons of the king of the world, Neethi Mayan Chakra, various magic tricks and death-defying tricks from Lord Shiva, Srirangar Narayana took an anti-vuru, spread his head and went to Neesan without any ayida – “Among the boons you have received from Esar, this country is a small rain for this Lord. If you don’t give, come to fight?” Neeson immediately said, “If I fight you now, she’ll laugh out loud!” So he said, “I will beat the Andis who have spread their necks and heads until Bandara, who is a Paradesi, and I will fight with him and never make a fuss with them.” “If you transgress and slander the Andes, my boons will go in vain,” he decreed.

It is for these reasons that Narayana appeared as “Sri Narayana Bandaram” in Kaliyuga to take away the boons given to Kali Neesan, according to Akilathirattu.

Vaikunda Avatar

Vaikundar, who emerged from the ocean in 1008 AD, is said to be an incomparable incarnation.

Narayana went to the ocean of Tiruchendur to save the good people, to take away the boons given to this Neesakkalian and destroy Kali Nisantha, according to the Adi Agama laid down by sage Vyasa to nurture him. Ranar also went to Maduramadul. Narayanar, who wanted to incarnate in Maduramadul, on 20th March 1008 (1st March C.1833) Friday, as the tenth incarnation in the Makara karuvarai, Vala Ramachandra Surya Narayan himself incarnated as Vaikundar, the ruler of all the three bodies.

“Sreeman Narayana himself appeared as Vaikuntha” – Akilathirattu

Narayana, incarnated as Vaikundar, came to the shore from the sea at Tiruchendur and took Manuch Sorupam as a treasure at Daruvaikarai Yenum. As Narayana Bandaram, the Mayan Gandikavi garlic was presented to the audience, a tablet stick was wrapped around the neck, a bamboo stick in his hand, a rattan in his hand, a white name on his forehead, a garland of garlands on his head, a hammer on the top, a high-pitched shriek, Vaikunder, who had come from the south through the Daruwaigara with the name of Vaikunder, had given a promise that he would now establish the Shivlinga at Ambala Padim. done He left and came to Swamithoppa, the place where Manavaipati is.

So Vaikuntar is not only an ordinary man, not only Narayana, not only Ekaparamdhata, but on the other hand, he is also human, Narayana is also Ekaparamdhata. To be precise, he is a block of these three. He is the one who is bound to destroy Kali as per the agreement already made with Lord Shiva. The reason for so many subtleties in the Vaikunda avatar was to defeat the boons acquired by Kalyan.

The Akilathiratu Vedas refer to Vaikundar as Sri Bandaram, Andavar, Mayon, Narayana, Vishnu, Sri Thirumal, Sri Perumal, Ayya Narayana, Shiva Narayana and Surya Narayana. Similarly, the devotees also proudly address him as ‘Ayya’, ‘Sriman Vaikunda Swami’ and ‘Sriman Narayana Swami’.

Penance

After reaching Phuvandan Grove (present day Swami Grove) known as Tetsanam, Vaikunder did penance for six years. Universally says that he performed penance in three stages. The three levels are based on three objectives. In stating these objectives, the International

“Mudatan Tavasu Yugatavasu my son
Succeed in the second month of Dattamula
The third month will become the foretold woman
A good priest and good ways”
Also the mode of existence of penance is said to vary from stage to stage. It is said that he spent the first two years in a six-foot pit, the next two years on the ground, and the last two years in a lofty penance. And during the period of penance he did not consume any food other than tamarind milk; He spoke less.

Suppression of evil forces

Akhilathrattu Ammani says that demon burning is the most important of Aiya Vaikunder’s avatars. These happened during the period of Ayya Tawam. All demons are burnt by the Vaikunda avatar.

“All those who are good will go
Kindly take care of the way I do
Tell them that Igabaran Moudalai will be here
He went to burn all the waste of the enemy.”
This event takes place at the north door where Ayya Tavam was. Ayya makes demons dance in the bodies of some of the people who came to see Ayya. He then makes them swear to surrender their powers and burn themselves in fire. As soon as they swear according to the orders of the Master, the demon-possessed people fall to the ground. Thus the demons are burnt. Akhilaam describes the event well.

Reversal of Mantra Tantra methods

Vaikunder has performed many other incarnations such as burning demons. Speaking about this, Akilam says that the Vaikunders have taken back the Mantra Tantra Vagada methods of the peasants known as Malayarasars.

The khanikars who live in the mountains are considered to have great magical powers, divination and exorcism. According to the legend, Vaikundar made them pledge their power to Vaikundar in front of the people at Swamithopi, where there was a Ayya Tava called Techanam. The people saw this action of Ayya with great surprise. This act created great devotion to Vaikunder in their minds. They called Aiya as Vaikunda Swami. After burning the ghost, Vaigunder looked at the people around and said as follows,

“It’s not a lie, it’s not in Billy’s words
No pain, no pain, no pain
No sags, no curls, no curls
“He is a memory that the world will live on.”

Bandaraga Vaikunder

Vaigundar’s fame spread rapidly in the regions of South Travancore and Tirunelveli. He was known in the eyes of the community as a man of miraculous powers. On the other hand he was declared to be Bandaram on the basis of religious belief. Akilathirattu Amman refers to him as Narayana Bandaram.

People gathered in his presence to observe his teachings. And it is also said that he cured their diseases. People started worshiping him. Vaikunder taught them to bathe in the same well irrespective of caste. He also taught them to overcome all obstacles and eat sambandi. It is believed that India’s first samabandhi was established in Ayyavah religious gatherings.

Ayya gave many teachings to the people. Chief among them, he said that he would destroy the ongoing Kali Yuga and bring forth the blissful Dharma Yuga and give eternal life to the sages. People were instructed by him to act on the doctrine of “Dharma is the protection of the poor” to attain that state of rebirth. And his avatar activities can be seen revolving around this theory from the point of view of society.

The people who were witnesses were instructed to play an important role in the unfolding of Dharmayuga. Ayya encouraged them to follow certain methods to transform themselves into Dharmayuga people. In these idioms, Kali is self-destructive to the extent that people shape themselves as self-respecting, dignified, and fearless. This was similar to the principle that everything here is one and therefore there is nothing to fear. This is confirmed by the universal theory that Vaikundar will be the dharma king and realize this dharma yuga ruling the people as long as they give up the delusion of Kaliya.

It seems that some of the nobles, who saw the fame of Ayya and the thousands of people who gathered around him, complained to the king of Travancore, Swati Thirunal, who visited the area. This is universally stated. In the name of this, the king arrested and tortured Vaikunder. It is universally stated that he performed many miracles there.

After jail time

After being released from prison, Vaigunder was brought to Thechanam by the people of Sandor. He then sent 700 family members to Vagaipathi to perform a penance known as Dhuayyal Tavasu, which gives external and internal purity to the Sanhor people. He also fulfilled many avatar ideals. He married Sabta Kanya from Vaikuntar Narayana, a constituent of the trinity, and Parappirammam, a seven deity Kanya from Ekama. He also ordered to hold Thirunal Igana.

Vaikundam Pathal

Akhilam mentions that Vaikundar was then invited by the saints to their houses for a feast. He was carried away by witnesses in a vehicle. It is said that during these feasts he set up shadow cushions at their respective places.

But there are opinions to this concept. Opponents point to universal taxes. It is their stand that Vaikunder did not lay the foundation stone for them and he only participated in those ceremonies. But it is agreed that some buffers were set while he was still incarnated. Vaikunder chose five as disciples. It was through one of their disciples, Ari Gopalan, that Akilathirattu Amman, the principal teaching of Ayyavahi, was revealed.

Vaikundar visited Vaikuntam on Monday, June 1851. His avatar body is kept in the shrine in what is now the school hall at Swamithoppa Pathi. This view is considered to be based on international standards. But based on the same lines, some philosophical fundamentalists are of the opinion that he did not take a human form, and that the saints worshiped the Lord as an astrologer in the school room and held the festival. And some other bodies argue that Vaikunda assumed human form with the evidence of some verses, but as he had gone to Vaikunda with his body, the above method of Mannaara is not acceptable in Swami Thoppa Palliyar.

Disciples

Ayya Vaikunder has five disciples. Akilam says that the five Pandavas in the previous Yuga were born as five disciples in this Kali Yuga. They are.

  • Disciple of Dharma
  • Veeman Disciple
  • Archuna is a disciple
  • Sahadeva’s disciple
  • Nakulan is a disciple
